Dynamic Behavior of Planetary Gear : 1st Report Load Distribution in Planetary Gear
In the planetary gear, the inequality of load distribution arises on each planet gear because of random errors of manufacture and assembly. This phenomenon results in an increase of load to each part, the occurrence of vibration, and a drop in efficiency of planetary gear systems.

Design of Planetary Gear Train for Geared Rotary Actuator
Abstract Geared Rotary Actuators are mechanically operable devices widely used in the aerospace industry so that controlled motion can be provided to secondary flight control surfaces. Their usage can be seen in a variety of applications including powered hinges for aircraft structural movements, they support aerodynamic loads in ...

Active Metamaterials with Tunable Shear Nonreciprocity and Nonlinear Dynamics
Active gear‐based mechanical metamaterials enable simultaneous control of translational and torsional stiffnesses by 30–100×, break shear reciprocity under positive versus negative loads, broadly tune resonant frequencies, and offer programmable dynamic responses.

Abstract A recent debate has emerged between Caspar et al. (2024) and Herculano‐Houzel (2023) on inferring extinct dinosaur cognition by estimating brain neuron counts. While thought‐provoking, the discussion largely overlooks the function of cognition, as well as partly neglects the difficulties involved in estimating neuron numbers, which according ...

ABSTRACT The ecology of forests, their losses, and terrestrial wood decomposition dynamics have been intensively studied and reviewed. In the aquatic realm, reviews have concentrated on large wood (LW) in rivers and the transition from freshwater to marine environments in the Pacific Northwest of North America. However, a comprehensive global synthesis

Determination of gear mesh stiffness in planetary gearing [PDF]
Gear mesh stiffness in planetary gearing is one of the main generators of internal dynamic forces. It is necessary in describing dynamic behavior of planetary trains, i.e. in defining their equations of dynamic balance. This paper presents a methodological approach to experimental and analytical calculation of stiffness in planetary gearing. .
