Kinematics of a Planetary Train with Elliptical Gears with Internal Gearing
Journal of Machinery Manufacture and Reliability, 2021This article considers the kinematic study of a planetary train for converting rotary motion to recurrent-rotary ensured by means of elliptical gears. Centroids of noncircular gears with inner teeth engaged with elliptical gears are drawn for various interaxial distances.

Gear Trains and Planetary Gears
2020In this chapter, the general concepts of ordinary gear trains are first described, particularly those concerning their efficiency and the obtainable transmission ratios. The same concepts are then extended to planetary gear trains and various methods of calculating the transmissions ratios achievable with these types of gear drives are defined.

Journal of Mechanical Design, 1994
A model to simulate the dynamic behavior of a single-stage planetary gear train with helical gears is developed. The three-dimensional dynamic model includes all six rigid body motions of the gears and the carrier. The generic nature of the formulation allows the analysis of a planetary gear set with any number of planets.

Reliability Model for Planetary Gear Trains
Journal of Mechanisms, Transmissions, and Automation in Design, 1983A reliability model is presented for planetary gear trains in which the ring gear is fixed, the sun gear is the input, and the planet arm is the output. The input and output shafts are coaxial and the input and output torques are assumed to be coaxial with these shafts. Thrust and side loading are neglected.

The Analysis of Planetary Gear Trains
Volume 2: 30th Annual Mechanisms and Robotics Conference, Parts A and B, 2006The Generalized Lever is a new tool in gear train representation. It extends the traditional concept of a lever representation of a planetary gear set to one that includes negative lever ratios. This allows an exhaustive permutation of the nodes of a lever, thereby leading to all possible topological arrangements of a planetary gear train. Consequently,

Survey of dynamics of planetary gear trains
International Journal of Materials and Structural Integrity, 2008Planetary gear trains (PGT) have been widely used in many industries due to their unique advantages over parallel shaft gear trains. With increased demand for high speed and low vibration and low noise machinery, dynamic analysis of PGT has gained importance.

Analysis of Dynamical Behavior of a Planetary Gear Train
2008A lumped-parameter model of a single-stage planetary gear train, which included the factors of the floating motion of the centroid of the sun gear, time-varying mesh stiffness, gear meshing transmission errors and gear backlashes, was established. The non-dimensional motion equations of system were solved by the method of numerical integration.

Planetary gear train for robotics
IEEE International Conference on Mechatronics, 2005. ICM '05., 2005A recursive matrix model concerning the geometric analysis, kinematics and dynamics of a Bendix wrist planetary bevel-gear train for robotics is established in this paper. The prototype of this mechanism is a three-degree-of-freedom system with seven links and four bevel gear pairs. Controlled by electric motors, three active elements of the robot have

Multi Objective Optimization of Planetary Gear Train
2010In present work, multi-objective optimization of multi-stage planetary gear train is done. Optimization of multi-stage speed reducer is difficult due to involvement of integer variables. Minimizing surface fatigue life factor and minimization of volume of gear box are two conflicting objective functions under consideration.
