Analysis and Simulation Verification of Mechanical Properties for Planetary Roller Screw Mechanism

2020 IEEE International Conference on Mechatronics and Automation (ICMA), 2020
Load capacity is an important index to evaluate the mechanical performance of the planetary roller screw mechanism (PRSM). Improving load distribution is the key to improving load capacity. This paper analyzes and simulates the mechanical properties of PRSM.

Static Analysis of an Inverted Planetary Roller Screw Mechanism

Journal of Mechanisms and Robotics, 2016
The paper examines the static behavior of the inverted planetary roller screw (PRS) through numerical and experimental studies. The numerical analysis of the inverted PRS is first presented to capture the global and local deformations in different configurations.

Nonlinear dynamics of planetary roller screw mechanism

Chaos: An Interdisciplinary Journal of Nonlinear Science
The synchronous meshing of the gear pair and the screw pair is a typical feature of the planetary roller screw mechanism. In order to fully derive and analyze the nonlinear dynamic characteristics of the system, this paper creatively incorporates the time-varying meshing stiffness of gear pair and the comprehensive transmission error into the research ...

New design of gapless planetary roller screw mechanism

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2019
Advanced planetary roller screw mechanisms (PRSM) are divided into mechanisms with gaps and gapless devices, where gaps are compensated using various methods. Gapless mechanisms are superior in accuracy and rigidity compared to mechanisms with gaps, but inferior to them in load capacity and useful life, i.e.

Kinematics and Efficiency Analysis of the Planetary Roller Screw Mechanism

Journal of Mechanical Design, 2008
This paper analyzes the kinematics and the efficiency of the planetary roller screw mechanism (RSM) to provide a fundamental basis to support its various applications. The mechanical structure and practical advantages are presented in comparison with the conventional ball screw mechanism (BSM).

Coupling Mechanism of Errors in the Planetary Roller Screw Mechanism

2019
In order to reveal the error coupling mechanism of thread pair and gear pair in the planetary roller screw mechanism (PRSM), a transmission error calculation model considering the error of gear and thread was established. This paper analyzed the thread pair error firstly, including assembly errors, eccentricity errors and errors caused by load ...

NEW NUTLESS PLANETARY ROLLER SCREW MECHANISM WITH REDUCED SLIPPAGE

Spravochnik. Inzhenernyi zhurnal, 2023
Currently, the most promising converters of rotary motion into translational motion are planetary roller screw mechanisms (PRSM), which require expensive specialized imported equipment for their production. In Russia within the framework of the import substitution program there have been developed nutless roller screw mechanisms (NRSM), production of ...

Kinematics analysis of planetary roller screw mechanism with misalignment

Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part E: Journal of Process Mechanical Engineering
The misalignment is unavoidable for planetary roller screw mechanism (PRSM) in practical application due to many uncertainties. The misalignment has a strong effect on the kinematic characteristics of PRSM. However, the relevant research has been rarely reported in the past.

Force analysis of a planetary roller screw mechanism with axial backlash

Vestnik Mashinostroeniya
Planetary roller screw transmissions (PRST) with axial backlash are investigated. Approximate and exact calculations from the action of the roller-overturning moment created by axial forces are compared. It is shown that for calculating the contact strength of PRST parts it is advisable to use an approximate variant.
