Fabrication and Characterization of PEDOT:PSS‐Based Microstructured Electrodes for In Vitro Cell Culture

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene) poly(styrene sulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS)‐based microstructured electrodes are fabricated using vacuum soft lithography as an alternative to conventional methods. This novel fabrication approach enables the production of scalable and cost‐effective bioelectronic devices.

Deciphering the Interactions of Carbon Nanotubes and Super P with Silicon and Graphite Active Materials in Silicon‐Graphite Negative Electrode‐Based Lithium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Although defect‐rich Multi‐walled Carbon Nanotubes (MWCNTs) are generally associated with reduced electronic conductivity, our findings uncover a different role: they act as interfacial mediators in Silicon (Si) negative electrode‐based lithium‐ion batteries. Their defect sites and surface functional groups reinforce particle contact, markedly boosting

Observing Planetary Systems in the Making

open access: yes, 2019
The unprecedented imaging capabilities provided by ALMA and modern near-infrared high-contrast cameras have served as the foundation of a new and rapidly expanding field of research posed to unveil the origin of planetary systems. The outstanding discoveries obtained in the current decade have demonstrated that the outer regions of protoplanetary disks

RAMUS: Printable, Mechanically‐Tunable and Biodegradable Cellulose‐Mediated Composites

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Ramus, a Latin term meaning “branch,” develops large‐scale, ambient conditions additively manufactured, and biodegradable cellulose‐based biomaterial composites able to mediate their structural capacity from micro to macroscale. Abstract Ramus develops large‐scale, ambient conditions additively manufactured, and biodegradable cellulose‐based ...

Entrapment Behavior of Solid Surrogate Fission Products at Engineered UN Nano‐Hetero‐Interfaces Within Metallic Nuclear Fuels

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This work endeavors to engineer uranium mononitride (UN) nanostructures within a metallic nuclear fuel (U─Mo), in order to trap potential fission products (Nd). From consolidation of the nanostructured U─Mo powders all the way to 1000 h at reactor‐like temperatures (500 °C), Nd preferentially migrates to nanostructure boundaries (hetero‐interfaces ...

Analysis of the Dynamic Characteristic of Wind Turbine Planetary Gear System with Flexible Support

open access: yesJixie chuandong, 2016
As the wind turbine gearbox mounted on a flexible support tower, the wind turbine tower will be bent and wiggled under the complex working conditions, and it will serious influence on the dynamic characteristic of the wind turbine gear transmission system.

Shaping Microbial Motion with Light: A Contactless Approach Using Diffusioosmotic Flow

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Light‐controlled, contactless manipulation of cyanobacteria using photoresponsive azobenzene surfactants. Reversible photo‐isomerization generates surface flow, enabling precise trapping, relocation, and directional control of single cells or ensembles with adjustable light intensity and wavelength for noninvasive, spatiotemporally resolved microbial ...
