Dynamical Habitability of Planetary Systems [PDF]
The problem of the stability of planetary systems, a question that concerns only multiplanetary systems that host at least two planets, is discussed. The problem of mean motion resonances is addressed prior to discussion of the dynamical structure of the more than 350 known planets.

The thermal diffusivity of MgO‐C refractories is highly sensitive to sample preparation and processing procedures. In this article, the effects of coking sequence, machining conditions, structural inhomogeneity, and graphite coating application on measurements using laser flash apparatus are systematically investigated.

Powder Optimization Strategies for Binder Jetting Printing of BaTiO3 and Ba0,6Sr0,4TiO3 Ceramics
Powder optimization is investigated to enable binder jetting of BaTiO3 and Ba0.6Sr0.4TiO3 ferroelectric ceramics. The antagonistic relationship between flowability and binder compatibility is addressed through binder impregnation of granulated powders and fumed silica addition to fine powders.

Effect of pore structure on methane adsorption characteristics in tectonically deformed coals
The regulation of pore structure on methane adsorption and free state in tectonically deformed coals directly affects the efficiency of coalbed methane extraction and coal mine safety.

Equilibria in the secular, non-coplanar two-planet problem
We investigate the secular dynamics of a planetary system composed of the parent star and two massive planets in mutually inclined orbits. The dynamics are investigated in wide ranges of semi-major axes ratios (0.1-0.667), and planetary masses ratios (0 ...

Micro‐Raman spectroscopy is applied to characterize corrosion products in a recycled‐based MgO–316L steel composite anode after molten salt electrolysis. A depth‐dependent Fe–O/Fe–Al–O layer sequence of magnetite, hercynite, and an Al‐doped magnetite transition zone is identified.

Ringed versus Ringless Worlds: How Poynting–Robertson Drag Shapes Rings across the Solar System
Planetary rings are not only ubiquitous around the giant planets in the outer solar system, but have also been discovered around several small distant bodies. In contrast, no rings have been observed around any inner solar system objects.

Planetary justice: Prioritizing the poor in earth system governance
We are in the middle of a planetary crisis that urgently requires stronger modes of earth system governance. At the same time, calls for justice are becoming increasingly pronounced in sustainability research: there can be no effective planetary ...
