Noise Control In Planetary Transmissions

SAE Technical Paper Series, 1977
<div class="htmlview paragraph">Noise generated by vehicles has become of increasing concern, in recent years, in its effect both inside and outside the vehicle. Although the noise contributed by heavy-duty automatic transmissions in on- and off-highway vehicles is insignificant in relation to that generated by other vehicle components, a program

Study on the inherent characteristics of planetary gear transmissions

2015 21st International Conference on Automation and Computing (ICAC), 2015
This article describes a novel modeling method for a rigid-flexible coupled planetary gear transmission system, which consists of rigid and elastic ring gear subsystems. The rigid gear subsystem model was established using the lumped parameter method while the elastic ring gear subsystem was established using the finite element method. According to the

Matrix System for the Analysis of Planetary Transmissions

Journal of Mechanical Design, 1997
This paper presents a new general analysis method for planetary gear transmission systems. Instead of studying portions of a transmission, one can analyze a whole planetary transmission system with a general program. Not only the kinematics, but also dynamics of a transmission are studied.

Analysis of the stress of the planetary transmission

International Conference on Military Technologies (ICMT) 2015, 2015
Paper is focused on dynamic stress of planetary transmission elements. This dynamic stress of the main parts of the planetary transmission depends on an external load of the transmission mechanism. Mathematics simulations and modeling are utilized for this analysis.

Deformability of elements of a planetary gear transmission

Russian Engineering Research, 2010
An analytical method is outlined for determining the stress state of the pole and satellite shaft in a planetary gear transmission within their contact zone. The influence of these elements on the pliability of the joint and on the directional error of the satellite shaft is established. Measures are proposed for equalizing the loads in the couplings.

Nonlinear Dynamics Analysis of a Multistage Planetary Gear Transmission System

International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 2022
A nonlinear dynamic model for a multistage planetary gear transmission system, which consists of two-stage planetary gear plus one-stage parallel shaft gear, is proposed. The time-varying meshing stiffness, comprehensive meshing errors and backlash between gear pairs are taken into account in the model, and the connections between the gear stages are ...
