Anion Exchange Membrane Seawater Electrolysis at 1.0 A cm−2 With an Anode Catalyst Stable for 9000 H

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The CAPist‐S1 catalyst containing dense interlayer structure is synthesized by one‐step autologous method. The dense NiFe LDH interlayer inhibits the Cl− ions penetration onto metal substrate, significantly improving the corrosion resistance. The obtained catalyst requires an overpotential of 220 mV at 1.0 A cm−2 and exhibits excellent durability over ...

Defect Engineering in Wüstite: Unlocking Control Over Iron Morphologies in Gas‐Solid Reduction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this paper, a direct link between the concentration of defects in wüstite (FexO) and the resultant iron microstructure is established. By integrating the muti‐point nucleation and morphological evolution of iron at defect sites, a multiscale perspective on how defect engineering in FexO modulates the morphologies of iron has been developed ...

Inherited Nitrogen Distribution Control in Covalent Organic Framework Cathodes for Efficient Electrochemical Lithium Recovery via Capacitive Deionization

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a rational design of hetero‐atom distribution within 2D‐COFs for selective electrochemical lithium extraction through capacitive deionization. The COF's high surface area and charge density facilitate effective lithium‐ion capture, offering a scalable and sustainable approach for lithium recovery from complex brine solutions ...

Highly Selective Electroreduction of CO2 to CH4 on Cu–Pd Alloy Catalyst: the Role of Palladium‐Adsorbed Hydrogen Species and Blocking Effect

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The blocking effect induced by the Pd atom would interrupt the C─C coupling reaction by increasing the intermolecular distance between adjacent *CO and *CHO intermediates adsorbed on the Cu atoms when introduced Pd into the Cu lattices and the *CO protonation effect of palladium‐adsorbed *H species boosts the CH4 formation on the Cu–Pd alloy catalyst ...

Hierarchical Assembly of Carbon Dots with Full‐Solar‐Spectrum Absorption for Solar Energy Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Hierarchical assemblies of carbon dots are constructed, achieving full‐solar‐spectrum absorption, superior photothermal properties, and good hydrophilicity. These assemblies can be in situ prepared on a fabric, which exhibits good performance for applications in solar‐driven interfacial water evaporation and electricity generation.
