Cathodic Cage Plasma Deposition of Nanostructured Cu–Fe–Se Coatings on Poly(methyl Methacrylate)
Nanostructured Cu–Fe–Se coatings are deposited on PMMA by a modified cathodic cage plasma process, enabling low‐temperature deposition on polymer substrates. A transition from discontinuous to compact morphology is observed with temperature, with optimal properties at 200°C, where improved CuFeSe2‐type bonding, lowest sheet resistance, and favorable ...

Formation, habitability, and detection of extrasolar moons
: The diversity and quantity of moons in the Solar System suggest a manifold population of natural satellites exist around extrasolar planets. Of peculiar interest from an astrobiological perspective, the number of sizable moons in the stellar ...

A combined experimental–computational framework identifies energy‐dependent laser absorptivity for NiTi in laser powder‐bed fusion, applicable to conduction and transition modes. Single‐track experiments and thermofluid smoothed particle hydrodynamics simulations are coupled through inverse analysis of melt pool geometry.

The Effect of Lunarlike Satellites on the Orbital Infrared Light Curves of Earth-Analog Planets [PDF]
We have investigated the influence of lunarlike satellites on the infrared orbital light curves of Earth-analog extrasolar planets. Such light curves will be obtained by NASA's Terrestrial Planet Finder (TPF) and ESA's Darwin missions as a ...

The separation of Helium gas from natural gas is challenging but highly important. MIL‐116(Ga), a “non‐porous” metal–organic framework is used as a molecular sieve to separate He from CH4. Druse‐like MIL‐116(Ga) particles are integrated into polysulfone mixed matrix membranes.

Microlensing search for extra solar planets
Gravitational microlensing may be used to probe distant stars for planetary companions. The presence of a planet in the vicinity of a star acting as the lens may cause a short lived anomaly in the observed lightcurve of the lensing event.
