Afferent and efferent pathways in the visual system of the freshwater snail Planorbarius corneus.

Dong wu xue yan jiu = Zoological research, 2011
Afferent and efferent neural elements of the retina and central ganglia in the freshwater snail Planorbarius corneus were labelled using retrograde transport of neurobiotin through the optic nerve. Axons of at least some photoreceptor cells become direct contributors to the optic nerve as no synaptic junctions could be detected. The processes enter the

[Study of the cholinoreceptive membrane of an isolated identified neuron of the mollusk Planorbarius corneus].

Zhurnal evoliutsionnoi biokhimii i fiziologii, 1976
An identified neuron (L Ped-2) of the Planorbarius corneus left pedal ganglion was isolated after the treatment of the ganglionic ring with pronase. The LPed-2 retains after the isolation the main features characteristic of this neuron in the ganglion.

[Serotonin modulation of the muscarinic cholinoreceptor status of the neurons in the mollusk Planorbarius corneus].

Neirofiziologiia = Neurophysiology, 1990
It was found that serotonin relaxed desensitization and decreased acetylcholine-induced potassium current. Effects of serotonin were connected with serotonin-activated adenylate cyclase, adenosine 3':5'-cyclic monophosphate (cAMP) and phosphorylation of muscarinic receptor proteins by cAMP-dependent protein kinase.
