Plant-pollinator interactions in East Asia: a review

open access: yesJournal of Pollination Ecology, 2019
Pollination studies in East Asia have been developing rapidly in recent decades. East Asia may provide important information on many aspects of plant-pollinator interactions because of the rich fauna and flora and highly heterogeneous environments that ...

The effects of the decline of a keystone plant species on a dune community plant-pollinator network

open access: yesFrontiers in Conservation Science, 2023
Ecological communities are maintained through species interactions, and the resilience of species interactions is critical to the persistence of natural communities.

Critic's Choice Essay - Take time to watch, not just smell the wildflowers!

open access: yesOklahoma Native Plant Record, 2003
Although plant-pollinator interactions between orchids and bees in the tropics may seem more interesting than those closer to home, Oklahoma is full of fascinating plant-pollinator interactions and mechanisms.

MOESM2 of Specialization in plantâ pollinator networks: insights from local-scale interactions in Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park in Alberta, Canada

open access: yes, 2019
Additional file 2: Figure S1. Bray-Curtis dissimilarity index of visitor and plant composition of undisturbed (UD) and disturbed (D) sites. The index approaches 0 when samples are similar and approaches 1 when assemblages are different. Visitors composition differ in their clade compositional structure between undisturbed and disturbed sites.

The BnTFL1‐BnJAM3‐BnSWEETs Module Orchestrates Seed Storage Reserve Accumulation in Brassica napus

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
BnaC03.TFL1 and BnaA01.JAM3 form a complex that facilitates the transport of soluble sugars from the seed coat to the embryo by directly activating the expression of BnSWEETs. Furthermore, BnaC03.TFL1 and BnaA01.JAM3 work cooperatively to promote soluble sugar and oil production while suppressing protein deposition.

Introgressed Variation in TaMYB7‐A1 Drives Graded Dormancy and Climate‐Adaptive Pre‐Harvest Sprouting Resistance in Wheat

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
TaMYB7‐A1 directly activates TaABI5 to enhance ABA signaling and regulate ABA‐GA homeostasis, enforcing seed dormancy. Its superior allele, derived from wild einkorn introgression, harbors a MITE insertion that elevates expression and two amino acid substitutions that enhance transcriptional activity, collectively generating graded PHS resistance for ...

Achieving High‐Density and Stress‐Resilient Maize Breeding Via Germplasm Innovation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Global population growth and climate change have exacerbated the global food crisis. This perspective presents a conceptual framework focusing on enhancing population advantages. Several novel breeding objectives are proposed to improve density tolerance and stress resistance for yield improvement.

The Spatiotemporal Genetic Architecture of Seed Vigor in Upland Cotton

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Leveraging the semi‐automated SeedRanger platform, we profiled the germination kinetics of 356 cotton accessions at a 30‐min interval. This high‐throughput phenomic approach delineated a temporal genetic network comprising 541 stage‐specific loci. Crucially, functional validation identified FLA2 as a pivotal, auxin‐modulated regulator that orchestrates
