Identification of Plant Glutaredoxin Targets

Antioxidants & Redox Signaling, 2005
Glutaredoxins (Grxs) are small ubiquitous proteins of the thioredoxin (Trx) family, which catalyze dithiol-disulfide exchange reactions or reduce protein-mixed glutathione disulfides. In plants, several Trx-interacting proteins have been isolated from different compartments, whereas very few Grx-interacting proteins are known.

Identification and fractionation of plant histones

Archives of Biochemistry and Biophysics, 1976
Abstract Plant histones from pea and wheat have been separated into five fractions by methods of exclusion chromatography, ion-exchange chromatography, and differential solubility in acids and organic solvents. The fractions have been compared to the putatively 1corresponding calf thymus histones.

SNP identification in crop plants

Current Opinion in Plant Biology, 2009
In many plants, single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) markers are increasingly becoming the marker system of choice. However, for many crop plants there are surprisingly low numbers of validated SNP markers available although they are needed in large numbers for studies regarding genetic variation, linkage mapping, population structure analysis ...

Multi-organ plant identification

Proceedings of the 1st ACM international workshop on Multimedia analysis for ecological data, 2012
This paper presents a new interactive web application for the visual identification of plants based on collaborative pictures. Contrary to previous content-based identification methods and systems developed for plants that mainly relied on leaves, or in few other cases on flowers, it makes use of five different organs and plant's views including habit,

Bioinformatic Identification of Plant Peptides

2009
Plant peptides play a number of important roles in defence, development and many other aspects of plant physiology. Identifying additional peptide sequences provides the starting point to investigate their function using molecular, genetic or biochemical techniques.

The Identification of Chinese Antimalarial Plants

Journal of the American Pharmaceutical Association (Scientific ed.), 1948
Abstract Five definitely identified plants indigenous to China which have been used as antimalarial drugs are briefly described. The present knowledge of these drugs is not complete, but that which is known is reported.
