Hrvatskoj bio je reguliran do tada važećim Zakonom o zaštiti bilja (NN 10/94 i 117/03), Pravilnikom o uvjetima i načinu stavljanja u promet sredstava za zaštitu bilja (NN 90/04 i 150/04) kao i Zakonom o kemikalijama (NN 150/05).
