Genetic Comparison of the Rhabdoviruses from Animals and Plants

2005
There are more than 160 viral species in the Rhabdovidae family, most of which can be grouped into one of the six genera including Vesiculovirus, Lyssavirus, Ephemerovirus, Novirhabdovirus, Cytorhabdovirus, and Nucleorhabdovirus. These viruses are not only morphologically similar but also genetically related.

Spread and morphological-structural properties of plant rhabdoviruses and similar pathogens in Basidiomycetes.

Mikrobiolohichnyi zhurnal (Kiev, Ukraine : 1993), 2014
Long-term studies of spread of rhabdoviruses which indicated their harmfulness in different plant species under conditions of environmental factors were first discussed. Their harmfulness to different plant species under environmental conditions was shown. A comparative description of rhabdoviruses with similar pathogens of the mushrooms is carried out.

[Comparative studies by the electron microscope of rhabdoviruses of plant and of animal origin. III. Egtved virus (VHS) of the rainbow trout (Salmo gairdneri) and rickettsia-like organisms (author's transl)].

Zentralblatt fur Bakteriologie, Parasitenkunde, Infektionskrankheiten und Hygiene. Erste Abteilung Originale. Reihe A: Medizinische Mikrobiologie und Parasitologie, 1975
With the exception of isolates from blood and homogenates of diseased fish, the presence of Egtved virus (=VHS, viral haemorrhagic septicemia of the rainbow trout) could not yet be demonstrated directly in host organs by electron microscopy, although recently, antigen has been identified in a number of organs by means of fluorescent microscopy ...

[Cytopathology of plants infected with viruses. Ultrastructure of the leaf cells of cereals affected by rhabdoviruses].

Izvestiia Akademii nauk. Seriia biologicheskaia, 2002
Ultrathin sections of oat, wheat, and ryegrass leaves from healthy plants and plants infected with rhabdoviruses by leafhoppers Laodelphax striatellus Fallen were studied under the electron microscope. The bacilliform virions often surrounded by endoplasmic reticulum (ER) membranes, viroplasm, and tubular structures conforming, in diameter and ...
