Protocol for quantifying miRNA trafficking across the endosomal membrane
An in vitro protocol measures miRNA uptake into endosomes isolated from mammalian cell extracts, which are free of subcellular contaminants. Performed at 37 °C in the presence of ATP, it ensures the import of single‐stranded miRNA into the endosomal lumen.

Yield Effects of Tissue Culture Bananas in Kenya: Accounting for Selection Bias and the Role of Complementary Inputs [PDF]
We analyze yield effects of tissue culture (TC) banana technology in the Kenyan small farm sector, using recent survey data and an endogenous switching regression approach. TC banana plantlets, which are free from pests and diseases, have been introduced

The presence of biotin‐binding avidin proteins in fish and their biological significance are poorly characterized. We cataloged fish avidins and demonstrate that they are widely present and evolutionarily conserved. We created avd knockout zebrafish and show that zebavidin is dispensable for development and that resistance of avd knockout embryos in ...

GelMA‐based 3D spheroids recapitulate transcriptomic and functional hallmarks of myeloid sarcoma
GelMA 5% hydrogels support the formation of myeloid leukemia spheroids that recapitulate MS‐specific features, including G1 arrest, apoptosis, and ECM‐driven transcriptomic reprogramming. The 3D model mimicked soft‐tissue‐like stiffness and oxygen conditions, and transcriptomic convergence with primary MS samples confirmed its utility as a preclinical ...

The two catalytic subunits of typhoid toxin dissociate from the holotoxin in the ER of an intoxicated cell, but only CdtB exits the ER to generate immunosuppressive effects. PltA is retained in the ER and sequestered from its cytosolic target, thus allowing the anti‐inflammatory effects of CdtB to promote intestinal colonization.
