Cardio-ankle Vascular Index Associated with Coronary Plaque Burden not Plaque Morphology

open access: yesCardio-ankle Vascular Index Associated with Coronary Plaque Burden not Plaque Morphology
Background : Cardio-ankle vascular index (CAVI) is a marker that reflects the overall stiffness of the aorta, femoral artery, and tibial artery. Several previous reports have shown the usefulness of CAVI for coronary artery disease (CAD) presence and severity.

Targeted Extracellular Vesicles Deliver Asiaticoside to Inhibit AURKB/DRP1‐Mediated Mitochondrial Fission and Attenuate Hypertrophic Scar Formation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Hypertrophic scar formation is driven by excessive mitochondrial fission in wound macrophages, which we discover is governed by a novel AURKB‐DRP1(Ser616) axis. The study develops a targeted therapy using cRGD‐decorated extracellular vesicles to deliver the natural compound Asiaticoside specifically to macrophages.

Beyond CD30: Dual‐Targeting of Malignant and Regulatory T Cells by Brentuximab Vedotin Remodels the Lymphoma Microenvironment and Overcomes Resistance via BCL2 Inhibition in Mycosis Fungoides

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Single‐cell RNA analyses of paired lesions from CD30+ mycosis fungoides patients demonstrate that brentuximab vedotin (BV) induces immunogenic cell death in both CD30+ and CD30− malignant T cells. BV also targets regulatory T cells and remodels tumor microenvironment, while resistance is driven by impaired IFN responses, drug efflux, and BCL2 ...

Antagonistic Ubiquitin Switching by USP7 and RNF40 Orchestrates KDM6A Homeostasis to License Coronavirus Susceptibility

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We identify an antagonistic ubiquitin circuit that controls cellular permissiveness to multiple coronaviruses. The deubiquitinase USP7 stabilizes the epigenetic regulator KDM6A to upregulate viral receptors, while the E3 ligase RNF40 degrades KDM6A by catalyzing K6/K11‐ubiquitin chains of KDM6A for autophagic degradation.
