Resettable binary latch mechanism for use with paraffin linear motors [PDF]

A new resettable Binary Latch Mechanism was developed utilizing a paraffin actuator as the motor. This linear actuator alternately latches between extended and retracted positions, maintaining either position with zero power consumption.
