Discontinuity of Plasma Flow Parameters

Contributions to Plasma Physics, 1993
AbstractThis paper is concerned with the study of the dynamics of the expanded dense plasma from a coaxial electrodes discharge device. Experimental investigations were carried out with hydrogen gas at 0.8 Torr base pressure. The condenser bank voltage was 12 KV, which corresponds to a capacitor bank energy of 4.5 KJ.The experimental results show that ...

Control of distributed plasma parameters

Computational Mathematics and Modeling, 1994
A controlled plasma discharge is investigated numerically by choosing optimal neutral particle flow profiles. It has been shown that the the optimization can be done by minimizing a specified functional containing the desired and the initially specified perturbation amplitude time dependence. Consequently, the flow parameters for a stable discharge are

Plasma Dynamics and Plasma Parameters

2011
In this chapter, investigations are presented to clarify the underlying physical processes of the observed improvements achieved with collinear double pulses studying the space- and time-resolved dynamics of the plasmas generated by laser double pulses interacting with metallic samples, as well as the plasma state in terms of electron density and ...

Relevant Plasma Parameters for Certification

2018
The focus of this chapter is to reveal the components that make cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) an important tool for medical research. In order to breach the step from research to hospital, a decisive understanding of not just their biomedical efficiency but also associated potential risks when applying CAP is required.

Fibrinolytic Parameters in Spermatozoas and Seminal Plasma

Journal of Urology, 1991
Urokinase-type (u-PA) and tissue-type plasminogen activator antigen (t-PA) as well as plasminogen activator-inhibitor activity were determined in seminal plasma and lysates of the respective spermatozoas in 67 ejaculate of males in infertile marriage without genito urinary pathology. U-PA was determined by a competition RIA, t-PA by an ELISA and PAI by

NONLINEAR OPTICAL PARAMETERS OF MAGNETOACTIVE SEMICONDUCTOR-PLASMAS

International Journal of Modern Physics B, 2008
The nonlinear optical parameters (absorption coefficient and refractive index) of semiconductor-plasmas subjected to a transverse magnetic field have been investigated analytically. By employing the coupled-mode scheme, an expression of third-order optical susceptibility and resultant nonlinear absorption and refractive index of the medium are ...

Effect of Plasma Parameters on Monopole Plasma Antenna Performance

2016 International Conference on Computer and Communication Engineering (ICCCE), 2016
The research is focused on determining the plasma parameters such as electron temperature and density, and plasma and collision frequencies, that can be applied on plasma antenna simulation. From the characteristics of plasma parameters obtained, the antenna parameters are then investigated.

Plasma parameter measurements in a tandem multipole hydrogen plasma

Vacuum, 1986
Abstract Results are presented of Langmuir probe measurements in a hot filament driven tandem multipole hydrogen plasma, at present being investigated as a possible source of intense negative hydrogen ion beams for use in the neutral beam heating of nuclear fusion plasmas.

Recording Spatially Resolved Plasma Parameters in Microwave-Driven Plasmas

Plasma Science and Technology, 2013
In an almost cubical reactor 90 l in volume which is intended to deposit organic polymers by plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD), microwave power is coupled into the volume via a quartz window which extends to approximately 1/10 of the sidewall area.

Plasma parameters in quiescent prominences

2005
From a set of four basic parameters; temperature, T(T e = Ti), mass density, p, degree of ionization, x, and magnetic field strength, B, parameters are derived that characterize the properties of the plasma in quiescent prominences. Transport coefficients are of particular interest as the prominence plasma is far from homogeneous.
