Auxeticity‑by‑Assembly converts freeform photovoltaics from cut‑defined layouts to assembly‑defined systems. Standardized interlocking units generate negative‑Poisson‑ratio, reconfigurable architectures, while hinge regions are wired by selectively activatable AgNW–GO@EGaIn composite interconnects and a folding‑enabled interconnector layer. A decimeter‑

Residual stress in plasma sprayed ceramic turbine tip and gas path seal specimens [PDF]
The residual stresses in a ceramic sheet material used for turbine blade tip gas path seals, were estimated. These stresses result from the plasma spraying process which leaves the surface of the sheet in tension.

This work presents ARC‐3D, a soft 3D model that recreates how brain support cells, called astrocytes, react to oxidative stress. The system visualizes rapid calcium changes and inflammatory signals, and shows how the drug KDS12025 can protect cells from damage. ARC‐3D offers a simple, reliable way to study early drivers of brain inflammation.

Direct current plasma spraying of mechanofused alumina-steel particles
Stainless steel particles (60 $\mu$m in mean diameter) cladded with an alumina shell (2 $\mu$m thick and manufactured by mechanofusion) were sprayed with an Ar-H2 (53-7 slm) d.c. plasma jet (I = 500 A, P = 28 kW, \rho_th = 56 %).
