Lagrangian and spectral analysis of the forced flow past a circular cylinder using pulsed tangential jets [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We numerically investigate the influence of pulsed tangential jets on the flow past a circular cylinder. To this end a spectral-Lagrangian dual approach is completed on the basis of time-series data.

Experimental research on multichannel discharge circuit and multi-electrode plasma synthetic jet actuator [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
To solve the low efficiency of plasma synthetic jet actuator (PSJA), a multichannel discharge technique based on the concept of voltage relay is put forward and a new multi-electrode plasma synthetic jet actuator (ME-PSJA) is designed.

CONTROL OF SQUARE CYLINDER FLOW USING PLASMA SYNTHETIC JETS

open access: yesJournal of computational fluids engineering, 2012
Flows over a square cylinder with and without plasma actuation are numerically investigated to see whether plasma actuation can effectively modify vortex shedding from the cylinder and reduce the drag and lift fluctuations. In this study, a plasma synthetic jet actuator is mounted on the rear side of cylinder as a means of direct-wake control.

Conductance‐Dependent Photoresponse in a Dynamic SrTiO3 Memristor for Biorealistic Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A nanoscale SrTiO3 memristor is shown to exhibit dynamic synaptic behavior through the interaction of local electrical and global optical signals. Its photoresponse depends quantitatively on the conductance state, which evolves and decays over tunable timescales, enabling ultralow‐power, biorealistic learning mechanisms for advanced in‐memory and ...
