Statistically optimized integration of plasma jet-assisted advanced oxidation processes for textile industrial wastewater reuse

open access: yesDesalination and Water Treatment
Industrialization, particularly in the textile industry, has led to a significant increase in the use of synthetic dyes, resulting in the discharge of toxic, dye-contaminated wastewater. These pollutants pose a threat to both aquatic ecosystems and human

Realisation of plasma synthetic jet array with a novel sequential discharge

open access: yesSensors and Actuators A: Physical, 2017
The Plasma Synthetic Jet Actuator (PSJA) is a zero-net mass flow actuator, capable of producing supersonic pulsed jets at high frequency (>5 kHz). Successful application of PSJA to active flow control necessitates the removal of two obstacles, namely, low energy conversion efficiency and small jet affected length.

Numerical Simulation of Flow Induced by Plasma Synthetic Jet Actuator

open access: yesTRANSACTIONS OF THE JAPAN SOCIETY OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS Series B, 2004
Flow induced by plasma synthetic jet actuator (PSJA) is investigated using computational fluid dynamics. PSJA is a flow control device and induces flow using electrohydrodinamic (EHD) effect around electrodes exerted AC voltage. Its mechanism is not well known, but it is said that paraelectric force proportioned to gradient of electric energy density ...
