Plasma Turbulent Bremsstrahlung

Physical Review Letters, 1994
Plasma turbulent bremsstrahlung is a radiation of high frequency plasma mode produced by the scattered electrons due to the effective turbulent collisions associated with low frequency fluctuations. It is found that the spontaneous emission term in the quasilinear effect is responsible for the mechanism.

Visualization of plasma turbulence

IEEE Computer Graphics and Applications, 1995
We have developed a three-dimensional toroidal gyrokinetic particle simulation to study tokamak turbulence. The gyrokinetic equations are a reduced set derived from the Vlasov-Maxwell equations by phase averaging over the ion gyromotion and keeping only the time and space scales relevant for describing tokamak plasmas.

Polarization characteristics of radially polarized partially coherent vortex beam in anisotropic plasma turbulence

Waves in Random and Complex Media, 2020
This paper introduces the propagation properties and polarization characteristics of radially polarized partially coherent vortex beams in anisotropic plasma turbulence and discusses in detail the distribution of light intensity in such beams as a ...

Barriers for Transport in Turbulent Plasmas

Physical Review Letters, 2003
The control of transport due to electrostatic turbulence is investigated using test-particle simulations. We show that a barrier for the transport, that is, a region where transport is reduced, can be generated through the randomization of phases of the turbulent field.
