Multi-Spectral Plasmon Induced Transparency with Hybridized Metamaterials
CLEO:2011 - Laser Applications to Photonic Applications, 2011We propose and demonstrate a scheme enabling construction of a scalable metamaterial supporting multi-spectral electromagnetically induced transparency-like effects through hybridization of coupled meta-atoms. Tailoring of intra- and inter-layer near-field interactions give rise to the discussed phenomenon.

Polarization-independent Plasmon Induced Transparency in Terahertz Metamaterials
International Photonics and Optoelectronics Meetings, 2012We demonstrate a polarization-independent PIT metamaterial functioning in the terahertz regime. The proposed structure has a 4-fold symmetry and exhibits a typical PIT behavior due to coupling effect of four different modes, yielding polarization-independent characteristics.

Novel plasmonic sensor design using plasmon-induced transparency
2010 IEEE Sensors, 2010We introduce a novel sensor concept in the field of plasmonics, namely plasmon-induced transparency sensors. These sensors combine localized particle plasmon resonances with extremely small sensing volume with excellent sharp spectral resonances that show a good respose to refractive index changes of the surrounding environment.
