Exciton-plasmon coupling interactions: from principle to applications

open access: yesNanophotonics, 2018
The interaction of exciton-plasmon coupling and the conversion of exciton-plasmon-photon have been widely investigated experimentally and theoretically.

Plasmonic biosensors [PDF]

open access: yesWIREs Nanomedicine and Nanobiotechnology, 2014
The unique optical properties of plasmon resonant nanostructures enable exploration of nanoscale environments using relatively simple optical characterization techniques. For this reason, the field of plasmonics continues to garner the attention of the biosensing community.

Digital Plasmonic Holography [PDF]

open access: yesImaging and Applied Optics 2018 (3D, AO, AIO, COSI, DH, IS, LACSEA, LS&C, MATH, pcAOP), 2018
AbstractWe demonstrate digital plasmonic holography for direct in-plane imaging with propagating surface-plasmon waves. Imaging with surface plasmons suffers from the lack of simple in-plane lenses and mirrors. Lens-less digital holography techniques, however, rely on digitally decoding an interference pattern between a reference wave and an object ...

Optimizing Dielectric Rod Antenna Performance with Spoof Surface Plasmon Polariton-Based Feeding Method

open access: yesSensors
This study investigates the use of spoof surface plasmon polaritons (SSPPs) as an effective feeding mechanism for antennas functioning within the extremely high-frequency (EHF) range.

PLASMONIC LASERS [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Surface plasmon polaritons (SPP)-based subwavelength metallic structures for laser amplification, emission, and collimation were introduced in this chapter. The plasmonic structures here act as a type of microlens which is integrated together with the laser for beam shaping or collimation.

Spectrally Tunable 2D Material‐Based Infrared Photodetectors for Intelligent Optoelectronics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Intelligent optoelectronics through spectral engineering of 2D material‐based infrared photodetectors. Abstract The evolution of intelligent optoelectronic systems is driven by artificial intelligence (AI). However, their practical realization hinges on the ability to dynamically capture and process optical signals across a broad infrared (IR) spectrum.

Plasmonic Nanocone Scanning Antenna: Fabrication and Optical Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research
Optical antennas are nanostructures that introduce unprecedented possibilities for light–matter interaction at the nanoscale. An appropriately tailored plasmonic antenna can enhance the total radiative decay rate and modify the angular radiation pattern ...

Fano-Like Resonance of Heat-Reconfigurable Silicon Grating Metasurface Tuned by Laser-Induced Graphene

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2023
We propose a heat-reconfigurable metasurface composed of the silicon-based gold grating. The asymmetric Fano-like line shape is formed due to the mutual coupling of the local surface plasmon (LSP) in the gap between the two layers of Au gratings and the ...

“Deterministic” Quantum Plasmonics [PDF]

open access: yesNano Letters, 2010
We demonstrate “deterministic” launching of propagative quantum surface-plasmon polaritons at freely chosen positions on gold plasmonic receptacles. This is achieved by using as a plasmon launcher a near-field scanning optical source made of a diamond nanocrystal with two nitrogen-vacancy color-center occupancy.
