A two‐phase workflow (OFAT screening followed by central composite design) maps how processing variables tune PFCE‐PLGA nanoparticle size, dispersity, surface charge, loading, and 19F‐MRI signal. In situ, time‐resolved synchrotron SAXS tracks albumin‐corona growth on intact dispersions and reveals PFCE‐dependent adsorption pathways.

Pliable polaritons: Wannier exciton-plasmon coupling in metal-semiconductor structures
Plasmonic structures are known to support the modes with sub-wavelength volumes in which the field/matter interactions are greatly enhanced. Coupling between the molecular excitations and plasmons leading to the formation of “plexcitons” has been ...

Gold Nanocylinders on Gold Film as a Multi-spectral SERS Substrate
The surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) efficiency of gold nanocylinders deposited on gold thin film is studied. Exploiting the specific plasmonic properties of such substrates, we determine the influence of the nanocylinder diameter and the film ...

Next-nearest-neighbor Tight-binding Model of Plasmons in Graphene
In this paper we investigate the influence of the next-nearest-neighbor coupling of tight-binding model of graphene on the spectrum of plasmon excitations.

Plasmonics and metamaterials have attracted considerable attention over the past decade, owing to the revolutionary impacts that they bring to both the fundamental physics and practical applications in multiple disciplines. Although the two fields initially advanced along their individual trajectories in parallel, they started to interfere with each ...

A tunable bifunctional surface is developed by combining Fc‐binding peptides and RGD motifs to present oriented antibodies alongside integrin‐mediated signaling. The platform selectively captures endothelial colony‐forming cells while promoting their adhesion and proliferation.

Plasmon excitation by charged particles interacting with metal surfaces
Recent experiments (R. A. Baragiola and C. A. Dukes, Phys. Rev. Lett. {\bf 76}, 2547 (1996)) with slow ions incident at grazing angle on metal surfaces have shown that bulk plasmons are excited under conditions where the ions do not penetrate the surface,

Plasmonic Enhancement of Fluorescence and Protein Dynamics in Living Mammalian Cells
This study demonstrates plasmonic enhancement of the function of fluorescent voltage sensing proteins (genetically encoded voltage indicators, (GEVIs), QuasAr6) in live mammalian cells. Coupling to plasmonic nanoparticles does not just increase fluorescence, but influences the protein photocycle, creating a hybrid sensor with its response speed to ...
