Broadband Anti-Reflective Coating Based on Plasmonic Nanocomposite [PDF]
We report on the fabrication, the characterization, and the optical simulation of a gold–silica nanocomposite and present its integration into a broadband anti-reflective coating (ARC) for a silicon substrate. The two-layer ARC consists of a nanocomposite (randomly distributed gold cluster in a silica matrix) and a pure silica film.

Enhancing Interfacial Charge Transport in Gold Nanoparticle@Polyaniline Hybrids via N-Heterocyclic Carbene Linkers. [PDF]
An amino‐functionalized NHC‐Au complex is employed as a conductive molecular linker to couple large Au NPs with PANI, yielding Au NP@NHC‐PANI hybrids with an electronically well‐defined interface. SAMs of these hybrids reveal enhanced charge transport compared with Au NP@PANI.

Surface Plasmon Polaritons on Metal-Dielectric Nanocomposite Films [PDF]
We observe experimentally that the reflectances of metal-dielectric nanocomposite films in the Kretschmann configuration show different characteristics, depending on the metal fill fraction f, that fall into one of three distinct regimes. In the "metallic" regime, in which f is large, the film supports conventional surface-plasmon polaritons (SPPs ...

Ultraflexible plasmonic nanocomposite aerogel
A simple yet efficient approach to fabricate an ultraflexible plasmonic nanocomposite aerogel is described. High-quality gold nanoparticles with a wide size regime (13—101 nm) may be dispersed evenly into a viscous agarose aqueous solution at 60 °C. Gradually cooling the solution to room temperature lead to the formation of a nanocomposite hydrogel ...

Thermal Conductivity Enhancement of Cu- and Ag-Decorated MWCNT Hybrid Nanofluids Synthesized via Probe Ultrasonication. [PDF]
Surfactant‐free Ag/MWCNT–EG and Cu/MWCNT–EG hybrid nanofluids are prepared via probe ultrasonication at ultralow loadings. The nanofluids show stable dispersion at the lowest concentration and measurable thermal conductivity enhancement, reaching approximately 5.5% and 8% for Ag/MWCNT–EG and Cu/MWCNT–EG, respectively, highlighting their potential for ...

Raman and scanning tunneling spectroscopic investigations on graphene-silver nanocomposites
Graphene-silver (G-Ag) nanocomposites were prepared using liquid phase exfoliation of graphite flakes followed by a reduction of silver nitrate. The plasmonic characteristics of these nanocomposites are highly sensitive to the Ag concentration in the ...
