Modeling Alkylcopper Decomposition Pathway: Deciphering Pre‐Nucleation Processes for Metallic Cu Nanoparticles Synthesis

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Computational study reveals a two‐step decomposition of alkylcopper complexes into (partially) reduced Cu clusters, proposed as prenucleation species for Cu(0) nanoparticle synthesis. Cu‐hydride intermediates and multinuclear centers lower reaction barriers.

Bismuth Chalcogenide‐Based Photocatalysts for Nitrogen Reduction: Recent Progress and Prospects

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Bismuth chalcogenides emerge as promising visible‐light photocatalysts for sustainable ammonia synthesis, driven by tunable electronic structures and strong N2 activation. Recent advances reveal how defects, doping and heterojunction design synergistically enhance charge separation and reactivity. Key challenges and future directions highlight pathways

Substituent‐Dependent SERS Kinetics of Citrate‐Stabilized Gold Nanoparticles: Balancing Hotspot Formation and Colloidal Flocculation

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Reporter chemistry controls the operational window of liquid‐phase SERS. Para‐substituted benzenethiols induce distinct AuNPs colloidal regimes, ranging from delayed but stable hotspot formation to rapid flocculation‐dominated signal decay. The balance between SERS‐active‐state formation and colloidal loss defines whether a reporter provides reliable ...

Photothermal bubble: Dynamics, manipulation, and applications

open access: yesDroplet, EarlyView.
As a versatile platform for bubble manipulation, photothermal techniques empower diverse operations: planar translation by scanning the laser spot, sustained periodic bouncing from competing thermal and hydrodynamic flows, and even guided 3D trajectories achieved by tailoring the heating configuration.
