About plasmons and plasmonics in graphene
2015 17th International Conference on Transparent Optical Networks (ICTON), 2015A number of recent experimental and theoretical studies indicate the existence of THz plasmons in graphene. It is also suggested that the existence of such plasmons should be a generic property of ideal graphene, allowing for the generation of surface plasmons, which are the basis of modern plasmonics technologies. We have approached the problem from a

Color plasmons and trains of plasmons
Applied Optics, 2010We show that a broadband surface plasmon can be excited in a thin metal film. A train of two plasmons can be excited at conditions near the condition of broadband surface plasmon excitation. Also, a method for independent multichannel checks of biochips by wavelength addressing is proposed.

It is shown that cancellations in a consistent calculation strongly reduce the attractive interaction of plasmons in an electron gas and eliminate the possibility of a bound state of two plasmons in a metal. In degenerate semiconductors with a large static dielectric constant, a residual binding of two plasmons many remain.
