Plasmonic Nanoclocks

Nano Letters, 2014
Plasmonic spectra of "nanoclock" metamaterials can be topologically mapped on a torus. We manufactured arrays of such a metamaterial with different "time" shown on the clocks and demonstrated that the near-infrared spectra of the nanostructures can be predictably tuned exhibiting a rich series of high-order plasmon modes, from the electric dipole to ...

Plasmonic photocatalysis

Reports on Progress in Physics, 2013
Plasmonic photocatalysis has recently facilitated the rapid progress in enhancing photocatalytic efficiency under visible light irradiation, increasing the prospect of using sunlight for environmental and energy applications such as wastewater treatment, water splitting and carbon dioxide reduction.

Molecular Plasmonics

Annual Review of Analytical Chemistry, 2016
In this review, we survey recent advances in the field of molecular plasmonics beyond the traditional sensing modality. Molecular plasmonics is explored in the context of the complex interaction between plasmon resonances and molecules and the ability of molecules to support plasmons self-consistently.

Surface Plasmons and Plasmonics

2020
Surface plasmons (SPs) correspond to self-sustaining excitations of the electron gas of metals or semiconductors, i. e., to modulations of the density of such gas occurring at the surface of the body generating electric fields propagating along the surface and decaying exponentially perpendicular to it.

Molecular Plasmonics

Nano Letters, 2015
Graphene supports surface plasmons that have been observed to be both electrically and geometrically tunable in the mid- to far-infrared spectral regions. In particular, it has been demonstrated that graphene plasmons can be tuned across a wide spectral range spanning from the mid-infrared to the terahertz.

Color plasmons and trains of plasmons

Applied Optics, 2010
We show that a broadband surface plasmon can be excited in a thin metal film. A train of two plasmons can be excited at conditions near the condition of broadband surface plasmon excitation. Also, a method for independent multichannel checks of biochips by wavelength addressing is proposed.

Plasmon-Assisted Optofluidics

ACS Nano, 2011
We study the ability of a plasmonic structure under illumination to release heat and induce fluid convection at the nanoscale. We first introduce the unified formalism associated with this multidisciplinary problem combining optics, thermodynamics, and hydrodynamics.

Plasmonic Nanopipette Biosensor

Analytical Chemistry, 2014
Integrating a SERS immunoassay on a plasmonic "patch clamp" nanopipette enabled nanobiosensing for the detection of IgG. A SERS response was obtained using a sandwich assay benefiting from plasmon coupling between a capture Au nanoparticle (AuNP) on a nanotip and a second AuNP modified with a Raman active reporter and an antibody selective for IgG. The
