Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

The Structure of Lenticular Crystals Formed in Plastically Deformed Titanium Nickelide

open access: yesCrystals, 2022
Samples of Ni51Ti49 alloy subjected to plastic deformation have been studied. The microstructure was studied by transmission electron microscopy and microdifraction on a Hitachi 7700 microscope.

Nonlinear dielectric spectroscopy in a fragile plastic crystal. [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Chemical Physics, 2015
In this work we provide a thorough examination of the nonlinear dielectric properties of a succinonitrile-glutaronitrile mixture, representing one of the rare examples of a plastic crystal with fragile glassy dynamics.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

RESEARCH ON THE RESIDUAL STRESS OF THE CRYSTAL SURFACE DURING LAPPING PROCESS BASED ON A SINGLE PARTICLE MODEL

open access: yesJixie qiangdu, 2021
In order to understand the formation mechanism of the residual stress of the lapping surface of laser crystal,a single particle model of a YAG crystal workpiece during lapping process was established by the finite element analysis software ANSYS.

Molecular Dynamics Study on the Impact of Cu Clusters at the BCC-Fe Grain Boundary on the Tensile Properties of Crystal

open access: yesMetals, 2020
The molecular dynamics (MD) method was used to simulate and calculate the segregation energy and cohesive energy of Cu atoms at the Σ3{111}(110) and Σ3{112}(110) grain boundaries, and the tensile properties of the BCC-Fe crystal, with the grain ...

Analogy of the slow dynamics between the supercooled liquid and the supercooled plastic crystal states of difluorotetrachloroethane [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Slow dynamics of difluorotetrachloroethane in both supercooled plastic crystal and supercooled liquid states have been investigated from Molecular Dynamics simulations.

Targeted modulation of IGFL2‐AS1 reveals its translational potential in cervical adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cervical adenocarcinoma patients face worse outcomes than squamous cell carcinoma counterparts despite similar treatment. The identification of IGFL2‐AS1's differential expression provides a molecular basis for distinguishing these histotypes, paving the way for personalized therapies and improved survival in vulnerable populations globally.

Influence of a Hydrostatical High-Pressure on Plasticity of Solids

open access: yesФізика і хімія твердого тіла, 2016
On the two-dimensional model of the crystal it was shown that the crystal lattice transform from stable to unstable under the influence of hydrostatical high pressure. As a result of such transformation is intensity the processes of plastic deformation.
