Investigations on the tensile deformation of pure Mg and Mg–15Gd alloy by in-situ X-ray synchrotron radiation and visco-plastic self-consistent modeling

open access: yesJournal of Magnesium and Alloys, 2023
In this study, the texture evolutions of two Mg materials during tension are explored. In-situ X-ray synchrotron and Visco-Plastic Self-Consistent (VPSC) modeling are employed to investigate the different deformation modes between pure Mg and Mg–15Gd (wt.

Research on surrounding rock control technology of deep roadway based on butterfly failure theory

open access: yesMeitan kexue jishu, 2023
At present, roadway surrounding rock control is still one of the major problems in deep mining of coal resources. The formation and development of the plastic zone of the surrounding rock is the main cause of large deformation and failure of roadway.

The role of histone modifications in transcription regulation upon DNA damage

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This review discusses the critical role of histone modifications in regulating gene expression during the DNA damage response (DDR). By modulating chromatin structure and recruiting repair factors, these post‐translational modifications fine‐tune transcriptional programmes to maintain genomic stability.

Mechanism Governing the Effect of Roller Straightening of a Pure Magnesium Strip on the Tensile Stress–Strain Curve Shape

open access: yesJournal of Manufacturing and Materials Processing
A roller straightening process of a pure magnesium strip, accompanied by alternating elastic-plastic deformation, was performed through one and three passes, where one pass corresponded to 19 bending events.

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.
