Deformation characteristics of saturated remolded loess under cyclic traffic loads
To study the deformation laws of saturated remolded loess under the rotation of principal stress axis, the cyclic triaxial tests and cyclic traffic load tests on the saturated remolded loess under drainage are carried out by using the hollow cylinder ...

Friction Analysis on Scratch Deformation Modes of Visco-Elastic-Plastic Materials [PDF]
Understanding of abrasion resistance and associated surfaces deformation mechanisms is of primary importance in materials engineering and design. Instrumented scratch testing has proven to be a useful tool for characterizing the abrasion resistance of ...

Shear-induced overaging in a polymer glass
A phenomenon recently coined as ``overaging'' implies a slowdown in the collective (slow) relaxation modes of a glass when a transient shear strain is imposed.

A numerical–experimental framework is developed for characterizing multi‐matrix fiber‐reinforced polymers (MM‐FRPs) combining epoxy and polyurethane matrices. Harmonic bending tests are integrated with finite element model updating (FEMU) to simultaneously identify elastic and viscoelastic material parameters.

Non-proportional deformation paths for sheet metal: experiments and models [PDF]
For mild steel, after significant plastic deformation in one direction, a subsequent deformation in an orthogonal direction shows a typical stress overshoot compared to monotonic deformation. This phenomenon is investigated experimentally and numerically

Handbook of Establishing and Maintaining Oxygen‐Free Atmospheres
This study presents a practical framework for creating oxygen‐free atmospheres at ambient pressure using silane‐doped inert gases. The results show that ultra‐low oxygen levels and strongly reduced water content can be achieved through controlled silane dosing, drying systems, and sensor monitoring.

Loading Surface in the Course of Mechanical- Thermal Treatment and Steady-State Creep of Metals [PDF]
: Kinetics of the loading surface of a material gives precious information on the level of the hardening of the material. This paper is concerned with the evolution of the loading surface during successive actions, such as: (i) plastic deformation, (ii)

Oxide‐Free Titanium Coatings by Wire Arc Spraying in a Silane‐Doped Inert Atmosphere
A silane‐doped argon atmosphere enables the production of oxide‐free titanium coatings via twin‐wire arc spraying at ambient pressure. This innovative approach eliminates residual oxygen, creating process conditions that prevent oxidation and nitride formation.
