This article investigates the dependence of the properties on the manufacturing orientation in the form of the inclination angle to the build plate of LPBF‐fabricated NiTi rods with a diameter of 150–220 µm. Metallographic, chemical, thermal, and mechanical characterization show behavior under identical manufacturing conditions that ranges from ...

An explicit constitutive reconstruction framework enables accurate tensile characterization of miniaturized additively manufactured specimens using only the grip‐to‐grip displacement measurements. Progressive validation through self‐consistency, analytical comparison, and inverse finite element method (iFEM) benchmarking demonstrates constitutive ...

Neural plasticity and the limits of scientific knowledge
Western science claims to provide unique, objective information about the world. This\ud is supported by the observation that peoples across cultures will agree upon a common\ud description of the physical world. Further, the use of scientific instruments and\ud mathematics is claimed to enable the objectification of science.\ud \ud In this work ...

Plasticity : a limiting case of creep
The present work is an attempt to develop further the so-called unified theory for viscoplastic constitutive equations as used for metals or metal alloys. Typically, in similar approaches creep strains and plastic strains are derived from one common stress-strain relationship for inelastic strain rates employing an internal stress function as a back ...
