Acetoacetates Derived From Vegetable Oils: A Platform for Tailor‐Made Vinylogous Urethane Foams
A renewable vegetable oil is converted into acetoacetate‐functionalized precursors for the preparation of catalyst‐free vinylogous urethane foams. Room‐temperature foaming with n‐pentane generates lightweight cellular materials, while the choice of amine enables control over foam structure and mechanical properties.

Evaluating the recyclability and restabilization of laboratory plastics consumables: impact of autoclaving and mechanical recycling on polypropylene [PDF]
Laboratory environments generate substantial amounts of plastic waste primarily consisting of single-use polypropylene (PP) consumables such as pipette tips or test tubes. In this study, the recyclability of such materials is investigated with a focus on

Biodegradable 3D‐Printable and Coatable Antifouling Composites for Marine Applications
Marine biofouling damages submerged surfaces and raises greenhouse gas emissions. Biodegradable antifouling biocomposites were developed by hot‐mixing beeswax, Tween 80, and calcium stearate or stearic acid. Adjusting the component ratio enables processing via hot‐pressing, 3D‐printing, or dip‐coating.

The effect of pressure and temperature variations on the FEM prediction of deformation during extrusion [PDF]
The extrusion process is complex, involving interaction between the process variables and the material’s high temperature properties and is typically conducted at relatively high temperatures because the lower flow stress of the material permits larger ...
