Genome evolution of the ancient hexaploid <i>Platanus</i> × <i>acerifolia</i> (London planetree). [PDF]
Whole-genome duplication (WGD; i.e., polyploidy) and chromosomal rearrangement (i.e., genome shuffling) significantly influence genome structure and organization. Many polyploids show extensive genome shuffling relative to their pre-WGD ancestors.

The Micropropagation of «Platanus acerifolia» Willd.
The purpose of this work was to evaluate the behaviour of the plane tree ( Platanus acerifolia) to micropropagation. Four clones (12-MS, Cl, S-PM, 21-MS) obtained from plants selected in the city of Rome (Italy) for their presumed resistance to the Ceratocystis fimbriata, agent of canker stain, were tested.

Isolation and functional analyses of a putative floral homeotic C-function gene in a basal eudicot London plane tree (Platanus acerifolia). [PDF]
The identification of mutants in model plant species has led to the isolation of the floral homeotic function genes that play crucial roles in flower organ specification.

Safety evaluation of a food enzyme containing endo-polygalacturonase and pectin lyase activities from the non-genetically modified <i>Aspergillus luchuensis</i> strain NZYM-XA. [PDF]
Abstract The food enzyme containing endo‐polygalacturonase (1,4‐α‐d‐galacturonan glycanohydrolase; EC 3.2.1.15) and pectin lyase (1,4‐6‐O‐methyl‐α‐d‐galacturonan lyase; EC 4.2.2.10) activities is produced with the non‐genetically modified microorganism Aspergillus luchuensis strain NZYM‐XA by Novozymes A/S.
