Abstract Biodiesel is a viable alternative to fossil fuels. Identifying and evaluating nonedible sources is essential to address ecological concerns and meet energy demands. Synergistic Fe–Si Dual‐Site Pathway Engineering in Biomass‐Derived Carbon Matrix for High‐Performance Oxygen Reduction Reaction

We report a dual‐atomic Si–Fe–N–C catalyst synthesized from nitrogen‐rich pinecones and an Fe porphyrin precursor. The inherent Si and N in pinecones form a porous Si–N–C framework that stabilizes Fe atoms during pyrolysis, yielding robust Si–Fe dual sites.

Novel Bioactive Multifunctional Polyphenols: A Chemo‐Enzymatic Approach

One‐step synthesis of complex alkyl oxystilbenin glucosides (6‐47% yield) in alcoholic medium. Switching to ter‐BuOH as solvent afforded δ‐Viniferin diglucoside, with high selectivity and high yield (> 90%), that can be upgraded by enzymatic esterification to alkyl δ‐Viniferin diglucosides.
