Simulation of between repeat variability in real time PCR reactions [PDF]
While many decisions rely on real time quantitative PCR (qPCR) analysis few attempts have hitherto been made to quantify bounds of precision accounting for the various sources of variation involved in the measurement process.

Unleashing the Power of Machine Learning in Nanomedicine Formulation Development
A random forest machine learning model is able to make predictions on nanoparticle attributes of different nanomedicines (i.e. lipid nanoparticles, liposomes, or PLGA nanoparticles) based on microfluidic formulation parameters. Machine learning models are based on a database of nanoparticle formulations, and models are able to generate unique solutions

The magnetization process of the spin-one triangular-lattice Heisenberg antiferromagnet
We apply the coupled cluster method and exact diagonalzation to study the uniform susceptibility and the ground-state magnetization curve of the triangular-lattice spin-1 Heisenberg antiferromagnet.

Non-proper helicoid-like limits of closed minimal surfaces in 3-manifolds [PDF]
We show that there exists a metric with positive scalar curvature on S2xS1 and a sequence of embedded minimal cylinders that converges to a minimal lamination that, in a neighborhood of a strictly stable 2-sphere, is smooth except at two helicoid-like ...

Cuttlebone‐inspired metamaterials exploit a septum‐wall architecture to achieve excellent mechanical and functional properties. This review classifies existing designs into direct biomimetic, honeycomb‐type, and strut‐type architectures, summarizes governing design principles, and presents a decoupled design framework for interpreting multiphysical ...

Leveraging multinational enterprises to reduce the escalating regional carbon inequality in China
Multinational enterprises (MNEs) affect regional inequality as they exert substantial yet uneven economic and environmental effects. This study evaluates the impacts of MNEs on China’s regional carbon emission inequality against value-added gains using ...

On the extremals of the P\'olya-Szeg\H{o} inequality
The distance of an extremal of the P\'olya-Szeg\H{o} inequality from a translate of its symmetric decreasing rearrangement is controlled by the measure of the set of critical points.Comment: 17 pages, 3 ...

Triblock Polymer Engineering Enables Hydration‐Rich, High‐Performance, Fouling‐Resistant Interfaces
A molecularly engineered triblock polymer (PHZ) rapidly reorganizes into a hydration‐rich interfacial layer on diverse surfaces, strongly suppressing hydrophobic attraction and fouling. The triblock polymer provides robust energy and steric barriers to oily foulants, enabling high‐performance antifouling at ultralow dosage.

Embeddedness of the solutions to the H-Plateau Problem
We generalize Meeks and Yau's embeddedness result on the solutions of the Plateau problem to the constant mean curvature disks. We show that any minimizing H-disk in an H_0-convex domain is embedded for any H in [0,H_0).
