Platelet count as a new biomarker for acute kidney injury induced by hemorrhagic shock
The aim of this study was to investigate the association between nadir platelet count and acute kidney injury (AKI) or 28-day all-cause mortality induced by hemorrhagic shock (HS), and to determine the cutoff value of nadir platelet count in HS clinical ...

A Bio‐Inspired Perspective on Materials Sustainability
This perspective discusses natural materials as inspiration for sustainable engineering designs and the processing of materials. First, circularity, longevity, parsimony, and activity are presented as essential material paradigms. The perspective then uses many examples of natural and technical materials to introduce principles such as oligo ...

Iron repletion is associated with reduction in platelet counts in non-dialysis chronic kidney disease patients independent of erythropoiesis- stimulating agent use: A retrospective cohort study [PDF]
Background: Iron deficiency is common in non-dialysis chronic kidney disease (ND-CKD) patients and, on occasion, requires parenteral iron therapy. We investigated the effect of intravenous iron repletion on platelet counts in ND-CKD patients with and ...

A gradient electron energy level strategy is constructed to reduce voltage losses in planar HTL‐free CsPbI2Br C‐PSCs. This electron extraction optimization enables rapid photogenerated electron extraction and carrier separation, thereby suppressing recombination at the back contact. The resulting PSCs deliver a record VOC of 1.41 V, a high PCE of 17.42%

A distinct approach to diagnose Dengue Fever with the help of Soft Set Theory [PDF]
Mathematics has played a substantial role to revolutionize the medical science. Intelligent systems based on mathematical theories have proved to be efficient in diagnosing various diseases. In this paper, we used an expert system based on soft set theory and fuzzy set theory named as a soft expert system to diagnose tropical disease dengue.

This study explores single‐crystal organic field‐effect transistors (SC‐OFETs) based on 5,15‐bisaryl‐tetrabenzoporphyrin derivatives. It highlights the impact of meso‐substituted groups on molecular packing and charge transport. Among the derivatives, C8Ph‐BP achieves the highest hole mobility (1.64 cm2 V−¹ s−¹) due to enhanced π‐stacking with ...
