Simulation of cooperating robot manipulators on a mobile platform

Proceedings., IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation, 1991
The dynamic equations of motion are presented for two or more cooperating manipulators on a freely moving mobile platform. The system of cooperating robot manipulators forms a closed kinematic chain where the force of interaction must be included in the formulation of robot and platform dynamics.

A testing platform for cooperative vehicle platoon controllers

13th International IEEE Conference on Intelligent Transportation Systems, 2010
This paper presents a hardware implementation of a platoon of four 1:14 scaled trucks. For this experiment, each truck was equipped with sensors for the measurement of specific variables required for the control of the platoon. These variables were transmitted via WLAN to an MPC555 processor in which the controller as well as the incoming data were ...

Development of multiple robotic fish cooperation platform

International Journal of Systems Science, 2007
This article presents the development of a multiple robotic fish cooperation platform, which is established by employing a group of radio-controlled, multi-link fish-like robots. This work is inspired by the observation from nature that the capability of one single fish is limited, as in order to survive the atrocious circumstances in the sea, fish ...

Adaptive cooperative path planning for multiple platforms

2005 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Biomimetics - ROBIO, 2005
In this paper, we first propose a general architecture for path planning and mission planning for multiple unmanned platforms that may include aircraft and robots. Second, a novel path planning method based on Pareto foraging has been implemented and evaluated.

A new industrial cooperative tele-maintenance platform

Computers & Industrial Engineering, 2004
Abstract With the maturation of new telecommunication technologies, the industrial enterprises wants to integrate the advances to activate on site interventions of experts and then reduce the machines inactivity time. We propose a hardware and software solution allowing us to make a cooperative tele-maintenance: the maintenance staff can do the work ...

PaperFlow: A Platform for Cooperative Editing of Scientific Publications

2008
The production of scientific publications requires usually the participation of several authors that contribute to the final result according to their role in the work being described. Nevertheless, this is obviously a cooperative activity and requires the simultaneous presence of the collaborators or the exchange of documents and annotations through ...

Analysis of cooperative robot manipulators on a mobile platform

SPIE Proceedings, 1991
When robot manipulators are to be used in a space environment, the interactions between the manipulators and the platform upon which they are mounted increases the complexity of the dynamic model. The situation is further complicated when the manipulators must cooperate with each other to move objects or to perform assembly and disassembly operations ...

CoMaP: A Cooperative Overlay-Based Mashup Platform

2010
Recently, mashups have emerged as an important class of Web 2.0 collaborative applications. Mashups can be conceived as personalized Web services which aggregate and manipulate data from multiple, geographically-distributed Web sources. Mashups, while enhancing personalization, bring up new scalability and performance challenges.
