Platforms and the Critique of Political Economy
The study of platforms, or multi-sided markets, has seen exponential growth in economics, media studies, social sciences, and humanities. However, the critical political economy of media has been relatively quiet, with notable exceptions in areas such as platform capitalism, imperialism and especially platform labour and gig work.

Gold‐stabilized copper suppresses hydroxide‐driven deactivation during anodic hydrogen evolution from furfural. Pairing this low‐potential anode with CO‐to‐ethylene electroreduction enables sub‐1 V operation at 400 mA cm−2, high single‐pass CO conversion, and co‐production of ethylene, furoic acid, and a separate hydrogen stream.
