Evaluation of an electroless nickel interlayer on the fatigue & corrosion strength of chromium-plated AISI 4340 steel

open access: yes, 2001
Despite the fact that chromium electrodeposition results in protection against wear and corrosion, combined with chemical resistance and good lubricity, the reduction in fatigue strength of base metal and environmental requirements causes one to search ...

Dual PI3K/AKT and CDK4/6 inhibition reveals selective sensitivity in an SHH medulloblastoma stem cell model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Targeted therapy was evaluated in SHH medulloblastoma using neuroepithelial stem cell (NES) and tumor‐derived NES‐like (tNES) models in 2D monolayers and 3D spheroids. PI3K, AKT, and CDK4/6 inhibitors had minimal effects in NES but markedly reduced viability and growth and induced apoptosis in tNES cells, revealing distinct therapeutic vulnerabilities.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Is Fixation of Distal Radioulnar Joint Injury Necessary in Patients with Distal Radius Fractures? A Comparative Study [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Orthopedics and Joint Surgery
Distal radius fractures are very common injuries presenting with a bimodal distribution. Road traffic accident (RTA) is the most common cause in young patients, whereas a simple fall occurs in the geriatric population.

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

CONTRIBUTIONS OF THE POSSIBILITY OF USING ULTRASOUND IN PLATING PROCESS PARTS [PDF]

open access: yesFiabilitate şi Durabilitate, 2014
The efficiency of the plating process in the ultrasonic field is primarily dependent on the mode of introducing the ultrasonic energy into the welding bath.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

The Comparison of Fracture :::union::: Duration of Shaft of Femur in Plating Method and Interlocking Intramedullary Nailing

open access: yesپزشکی بالینی ابن سینا, 2007
Introduction & Objective: Jaundice is the most clinical finding in the neonatal period. Prolonged indirect fractures of the shaft of the femur are among the most common fractures encountered in orthopedic practice.
