This paper reviews the distribution of platinum-group minerals in ophiolitic chromitites. Our data and literature data, obtained by in-situ investigation of polished sections and techniques of mechanical separation [hydroseparation (HS), or combining electric pulse disaggregation (EPD) plus HS], are contrasted.
