Indiscelio: A new genus of Scelionidae (Platygastroidea) from India
Journal of Asia-Pacific Entomology, 2018 Abstract A new scelionine genus Indiscelio Veenakumari, Popovici and Talamas is described from India with type species Indiscelio aulon Veenakumari, Popovici and Talamas. Both sexes are described and imaged. Affinities with morphologically similar genera are discussed.

The Cretaceous Scelionid Genus Proteroscelio Brues (Hymenoptera: Platygastroidea) [PDF]
American Museum Novitates, 2008 Abstract The genus Proteroscelio Brues is redescribed and P. gravatus, n. sp., is described from Lebanese amber (Aptian age, 112–122 mya). The relationships between Proteroscelio and other scelionids is discussed. The described species of fossil platygastroids are tabulated.

Zootaxa, 2007The skeletomusculature of the head and mesosoma of the parasitoid wasp family Scelionidae is reviewed. Representatives of 27 scelionid genera are examined together with 13 non-scelionid taxa for comparison. Terms employed for other groups of Hymenoptera are reviewed, and a consensus terminology is proposed.

Scelionidae and Platygastridae (Hymenoptera: Platygastroidea) of India
2019Scelionidae are idiobiont endoparasitoids exclusively attacking the eggs of diverse insect groups like Lepidoptera, Heteroptera, Diptera, Coleoptera, Mantodea, Neuroptera, as well as araneomorph spiders. Both Platygastridae and Scelionidae were originally described by Haliday in 1833 and 1839, respectively.

Fossil Platygastroidea in the National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Institution [PDF]
Journal of Hymenoptera Research, 2015 Platygastroid wasps preserved in Dominican amber and oil shale from the Kishenehn formation (Montana, USA) in the National Museum of Natural History are catalogued. Compression fossils in Kishenehn oil shale yield a specimen of Fidiobia, a specimen of Telenominae, and a specimen with a Scelio-type ovipositor system.
