Distinct Ligand‐ and Metal‐Centered Phosphorescence in a Terbium Carbazolyl Complex

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Terbium and lanthanum carbazolide complexes show two distinct modes of luminescence: Strongly temperature‐dependent narrow‐line terbium emission could be induced. In addition, both the terbium and the lanthanum complexes show broad‐line interligand emission processes with excited states of microsecond life‐time.

Micropatterned Scintillator Films With Engineered Cs3Cu2I5/CsCu2I3 Nanocrystals for Low‐Crosstalk X‐Ray Imaging at Clinically Relevant Tube Voltage

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Polyethylene glycol‐coated, lead‐free CsCu2I3 nanocrystal scintillator films achieve superior X‐ray imaging resolution over unpatterned films at 80 kVp by reducing crosstalk through lithographic micropatterning and optimized thickness control. The spatial resolution of X‐ray imaging is often limited by radioluminescence scattering, which is exacerbated

Love of the Job: What It Is, How to Measure It, and Why It Matters for Work Outcomes

open access: yesHuman Resource Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Employee retention, motivation, performance, and well‐being remain enduring priorities in human resource management, yet existing constructs such as engagement, commitment, and satisfaction do not fully capture the depth of emotional attachment that some employees feel towards their jobs.

Eliminating disorderly A sites: Significantly enhanced external quantum efficiency of Bi3+ luminescence in double perovskite phosphor

open access: yesInfoMat, EarlyView.
The structural transformation from disorder to order was achieved by regulating the A‐site of double perovskite, boosting IQE and EQE to 78% and 43%, respectively. The excellent luminescence properties of the representative CYNO:1%Bi3+ phosphor highlight the multifunctional application potential in solid‐state lighting, fingerprint recognition, and ...

One-dimensional continuum and exciton states in quantum wires

open access: yes, 2002
High-quality T-shaped quantum wires are fabricated by cleaved-edge overgrowth with the molecular beam epitaxy on the interface improved by a growth-interrupt high-temperature anneal. Characterization by micro-photoluminescence (PL) and PL excitation (PLE)

When protein losing enteropathy persists: A case series of viral and lymphatic‐associated etiologies

open access: yesJPGN Reports, EarlyView.
Abstract Protein‐losing enteropathy (PLE) is a rare condition that is characterized by loss of plasma protein in the intestines leading to hypoproteinemia with subsequent peripheral edema and possibly anasarca. The pathophysiology of PLE varies depending on the etiology and involves either intestinal mucosal injury or lymphatic system alterations ...

Questions on pure luminosity evolution for ellipticals

open access: yes, 1998
The explanation for the existence of an excess population of faint blue galaxies (FBGs) has been a mystery for nearly two decades, and remains one of the grand astronomical issues to date. Existing models cannot explain all of the observational data such
