Most of salivary gland neoplasms (benign and malignant) are characterized by recurrent gene fusions. Pleomorphic adenoma (PA), the most frequent salivary gland tumor, is driven by chromosomal rearrangements involving PLAG1 mapped to 8q12 and HMGA2 mapped

Pleomorphic adenoma: the great mimicker of malignancy
Histopathology, 2020Pleomorphic adenoma (PA) is the most common salivary gland neoplasm, and its diagnosis is straightforward in the majority of cases. However, not infrequently, PA shows unusual and uncommon histological features that can be confused with those of ...

Natural history of recurrent pleomorphic adenoma: implications on management
Head and Neck, 2020Treating recurrent pleomorphic adenoma (RPA) aims to reduce risk of malignant transformation (MT) while avoiding facial nerve injury. Our objective was to systematically investigate this natural history of RPA and address the current rational for its ...

Pleomorphic Adenoma of the Palate
Journal of Craniofacial Surgery, 2004Pleomorphic adenoma, is the most common tumor (50%) of the major and minor salivary glands. Pleomorphic Adenoma in the Auricle
Journal of Craniofacial Surgery, 2009Pleomorphic adenoma (PA) is a rare tumor of the skin that may arise from either the apocrine or the eccrine glands. Only 4 cases of PA in the auricle have been reported. We experienced the case of a 40-year-old woman who had a slowly growing, nontender auricle mass for 3 years.

Pleomorphic Adenoma of the Trachea
Journal of Bronchology & Interventional Pulmonology, 2014Endobronchial pleomorphic adenoma is an extremely rare condition. A 32-year-old woman with exertional dyspnea and cough presented with a carinal mass on chest CT scan. The tumor was successfully removed by rigid bronchoscopy using argon plasma coagulation. Biopsy confirmed the diagnosis of pleomorphic adenoma.

The tumor was surgically excised without recurrence. Histopathologically, the tumor was a typical pleomorphic adenoma with keratinization and glandular differentiation of tumor cells and fibroblastic ...
