Bacteriological and Pathological Study on Pneumonia in the One-Humped Camel (Camelus dromedarius) in Jordan

Discospondylitis as a consequence of jugular vein septic thrombophlebitis in a Standardbred gelding

Summary This report describes the identification of C7‐T1 discospondylitis on myelography and confirmed on postmortem computed tomography and necropsy in a 4‐year‐old Standardbred gelding as the consequence of jugular vein catheterisation and secondary septic thrombophlebitis. More Timely Response to Outbreaks of Zoonotic Compared to Non‐Zoonotic Diseases in Animals in Tanzania

A timeliness metrics analysis study was carried out in Tanzania. A total of 98 disease outbreaks were recorded. The time taken to detect, verify and respond to zoonotic diseases was shorter than the time for non‐zoonotic diseases. More investment should be done for the timely management of disease in Tanzania.
