The PLEXUS Parameters: Results of the ‘PLEXUS Conference’
Brain Injury, 1991Presentations by experts at an international conference on coma and persistent vegetative state (PVS) identified 32 parameters of varying prognostic significance that can be determined in this patient population. These parameters are tabulated for heuristic purposes and to summarize a portion of the information exchanged at this conference.

Choroid plexus tumors are rare intraventricular papillary neoplasms derived from choroid plexus epithelium, which account for only between 0.4-0.6% of all intracranial and 2-3% of pediatric neoplasms. Plexus papillomas outnumber choroid plexus carcinomas by a ratio of 5:1 and around 80% of choroid plexus carcinomas arise in children.

Development of the choroid plexus
Microscopy Research and Technique, 2000Mammalian choroid plexuses develop at four sites in the roof of the neural tube shortly after its closure, in the order IVth, lateral, and IIIrd ventricles. Bone morphogenetic proteins and tropomyosin are involved in early specification of these sites and in early plexus growth.

Brachial plexus stretching injuries: Microcirculation of the brachial plexus
Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, 1995This study was undertaken to investigate the pathogenesis of brachial plexus stretching injuries at an intensity level not severe enough to cause avulsion injury. While we performed traction on 64 forelegs of 32 rats, we evaluated changes in the blood flow in the extrinsic and intrinsic microvascular systems of the brachial plexus.

Macroscopic View of the Cervical Plexus and Brachial Plexus
2014The lateral anatomic region of the neck adjacent to the cervical spine contains, among its muscular elements, the cervical plexus and brachial plexus. Nerve plexuses are axon exchange networks that allow peripheral nerves to form from the fibers of two or more consecutive spinal nerves.

The Brachial Plexus (Plexus brachialis) of the Cat (Felis domesticus)
Anatomia, Histologia, Embryologia: Journal of Veterinary Medicine Series C, 1972ummary The brachial plexus of the cat is grossly described from a comparative standpoint. The composite findings are illustrated. Zusammenfassung Der Plexus brachialis der Hauskatze (Felis domesticus) An Hand von Abbildungen wird der makroskopische Befund des Plexus brachialis der Hauskatze vom Standpunkt der vergleichenden Anatomie beschrieben.

The structure of the choroid plexus and the physiology of the choroid plexus epithelium
Advanced Drug Delivery Reviews, 2004The choroid plexuses (CPs) are leaf-like highly vascular structures laying in the ventricles. The main function of choroid plexuses is the production of the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). Although CPs have a unique distribution of ion transporters/channels, the mechanism of CSF production is similar to the production of fluids in other epithelia and is ...

The brachial plexus is charged of the sensitive and motor innervation of the superior limb group. It is constituted of the union of the anterior branches of the last four cervical nerves (C5, C6, C7 and C8) and of the first thoracic nerve root (T1). Sometimes there is a significant amount of fibres coming from C4 or T2.

Chondromatosis of the choroid plexus
Journal of Clinical Neuroscience, 1996A case of chondromatosis of the choroid plexus in a 19 year old woman presenting with focal seizures is reported. Benign intracranial cartilaginous lesions are reviewed and the differential diagnosis of chondromatosis of the choroid plexus and intraventricular chondromas discussed.
