Diffraction Efficiency of MEMS Phase Light Modulator, TI-PLM, for Quasi-Continuous and Multi-Point Beam Steering

open access: yesMicromachines, 2022
The recent development of the Micro Electromechanical System (MEMS) Phase Light Modulator (PLM) enables fast laser beam steering for lidar applications by displaying a Computer-Generated Hologram (CGH) without employing an iterative CGH calculation ...

Enhancing Enzyme Activity With Mutation Combinations Guided by Few‐Shot Learning and Causal Inference

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
We present an integrated workflow that predicts activity‐enhancing mutation combinations from minimal experimental data. By proposing in vivo unit yield (yield/expression) as a surrogate for kcat/Km through causal inference, and visualizing local activity landscape, it effectively guides product yield improvement. ABSTRACT Designing enzyme sequences to

Effect of pawpaw (Carica papaya) leaf meal and dietary enzymes on broiler performance, digestibility, carcass and blood composition

open access: yesRevue d’Elevage et de Médecine Vétérinaire des Pays Tropicaux, 2018
Exogenous enzymes and phytogenic feed additives are proposed as alternatives to antibiotic growth promoters in poultry production. This study assessed the effect of pawpaw leaf meal (PLM) inclusion and enzyme (E) supplementation in the diet of broiler ...

Framework for Product Lifecycle Management integration in Small and Medium Enterprises networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
In order to improve the performance of extended enterprises, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) must be integrated into the extended networks. This integration must be carried out on several levels which are mastered by the Product Lifecycle Management (

Directed evolution of enzymes at the crossroads of tradition and innovation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
An iterative cycle of data‐driven enzyme optimization comprising four stages: genetic diversification of a template enzyme, expression of protein variants, high‐throughput evaluation, and machine‐learning‐guided redesign of the next variant library.

Unilateral Poststroke Periodic Limb Movements: A Case Series

open access: yesCase Reports in Neurology, 2022
Periodic limb movements (PLM) and restless leg syndrome (RLS) are involuntary common sleep-related movements which often hamper sleep onset; they are mostly idiopathic and bilateral but are seldom described secondary after a stroke. These cases are rare,

Self‐Seeded Nucleation of PET in a Benign Solvent Yields a High Modulus Aerogel With Ultra‐Low Thermal Conductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A new benign solvent (1,3‐diphenylacetone) enables a simple, safe, and sustainable dissolution and gelation method to convert waste PET into low density, monolithic aerogels with high mechanical strength (E = 20 MPa) and remarkably low thermal conductivity (k = 21.9 to 28.9 mW/m·K).
