Histone variants of the insect Plodia interpunctella during metamorphosis

open access: yesComparative Biochemistry and Physiology Part B: Comparative Biochemistry, 1984
The pattern of histone variants from the meal moth Plodia interpunctella was compared to the mouse histone variant pattern. Plodia contains histones which comigrate on two dimensional gels with H3.2, H3.3, H4 and H2A.Z in mouse. Plodia H2A.1 and H2B.1 migrate somewhat differently from the respective mouse histones.

Susceptibility of dried berries to infestation by Plodia interpunctella (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae) in correlation with total sugar content

open access: yesJulius-Kühn-Archiv, 2018
By assessing the degree of resistance of stored products to infestation by insect pests and correlating it with physical, chemical and nutritional characteristics of products, we could gain a real insight in these pests feeding preferences, and ...

HOST KIND EFFECT ON ACUTE TOXICITY OF SOME INSECTS GROWTH INHIBITORS ON LARVAL INSTARS OF Plodia interpunctella (Hub.)(Pyralidae : Lepidoptera) [PDF]

open access: yesMesopotamia Journal of Agriculture, 2013
The results of the recent study showed that the host kind and larval instars exhibit a varying response to the insects growth inhibitors ( Buprofezin . Cyromazin and Lufenuron ).

Synergistic attraction: Development and field evaluation of a multicomponent lure for Zeugodacus cucurbitae based on host‐plant volatiles and gut bacterium‐derived volatiles

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 82, Issue 7, Page 6919-6930, July 2026.
The newly developed ternary blend was validated in field trials and proved highly effective in attracting both male and female Zeugodacus cucurbitae. Abstract BACKGROUND Zeugodacus cucurbitae is a global quarantine pest. Management of this pest relies heavily on chemical insecticides, which impose substantial environmental burdens. Male‐specific lures [

Entomopathogen based autodissemination for the control of plodia interpunctella (Hübner): an examination of the critical components [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Plodia interpunctella (Hübner) is a major pest of raw and processed stored food products and the purpose of this work was to design and determine whether an entomopathogen based autodissemination approach would be an efficacious product for its control ...

Combination of mating disruption and parasitoid Habrobracon hebetor against Plodia interpunctella in a chocolate factory

open access: yesJulius-Kühn-Archiv, 2018
A field experiment of 4 years’ duration was carried out to evaluate the efficacy of combining the mating disruption (MD) formulation Dismate ZETA (9Z,12E-tetradecadienyl acetate), with the parasitoid Habrobracon hebetor against the Indianmeal moth Plodia

Diversity of Resilin Incidence in the Insect Leg

open access: yesJournal of Morphology, Volume 287, Issue 6, June 2026.
Resilin incidences in the insect cuticle are commonly detected by fluorescence microscopy using the property of Resilin protein matrices to emit blue light after excitation with UV light. This indirect method produces significant background signal.
