Combinatorial targeting of G‐protein‐coupled bile acid receptor 1 and cysteinyl leukotriene receptor 1 reveals a mechanistic role for bile acids and leukotrienes in drug‐induced liver injury

open access: yesHepatology, EarlyView., 2022
CHIN117 is a dual cysteinyl leukotriene receptor 1 (CYSLTR1) antagonist and G‐protein‐coupled bile acid receptor 1 (GPBAR1) agonist. In the liver, GPBAR1 and CYSLTR1 are coexpressed by liver sinusoidal endothelial cells (LSECs), HSCs, circulating monocytes/macrophages, and liver resident macrophages (Kupffer cells).

Multipurpose Attachment System for Ploughing, Spraying and Creating Ridges in Agriculture [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2023
Small-scale farmers would be benefited from versatile attachments that may be used to automate chores that would typically need both human and animal efforts in terms of cost and labor. Farming is made simpler and faster by mechanization. For practically

THE PLOUGHMAN AND THE PAIN OF THE SOIL – THE EXEGESIS OF A ROMANIAN FOLKLORIC MOTIF [PDF]

open access: yesStudiul Artelor şi Culturologie: Istorie, Teorie, Practică, 2023
According to Romanian folk beliefs, the soil suffers when man ploughs it. After the first humans had traced furrows, the soil shed blood and started to shout.

Weed Flora and Soil Seed Bank Composition as Affected by Tillage System in Three-Year Crop Rotation

open access: yesAgriculture, 2020
In recent years, there has been an increasing interest around agricultural science and practice in conservation tillage systems that are compatible with sustainable agriculture. The aim of this study was to assess the qualitative and quantitative changes

Method and timing of grassland renovation affects herbage yield, nitrate leaching, and nitrous oxide emission in intensively managed grasslands [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Managed grasslands are occasionally ploughed up and reseeded in order to maintain or increase the sward productivity. It has been reported that this renovation of grassland is associated with a flush of soil organic nitrogen (N) mineralization and with a

Maize silage for dairy cows: mitigation of methane emissions can be offset bij and use change [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Increasing the digestibility of cattle rations by feeding grains and whole plant silages from maize have been identified as effective options to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions. The effect of ploughing grassland for maize crops have not been taken into

Soil Tillage and Crop Growth Effects on Surface and Subsurface Runoff, Loss of Soil, Phosphorus and Nitrogen in a Cold Climate

open access: yesLand, 2021
Most studies on the effects of tillage operations documented the effects of tillage on losses through surface runoff. On flat areas, the subsurface runoff is the dominating pathway for water, soil and nutrients.

Variation of tow force with velocity during offshore ploughing in granular materials [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Pipeline plough behaviour has been investigated by means of reduced scale physical model testing. A testing programme was devised to investigate the influence of permeability, relative density, and plough depth on the associated tow force measured ...

Subsurface Microstructural Evolution during Scratch Testing on Bcc Iron

open access: yesMetals, 2021
Subsurface microstructures influence the friction and wear behavior of metallic tribological systems, among other factors. To gain a basic understanding of the microstructural changes occurring during sliding processes, face-centered cubic model systems,

Soil characteristics and crop yields under different tillage techniques

open access: yesPlant, Soil and Environment, 2015
The field experiment with different soil tillage treatments has been carried out in Prague-Ruzyně locality (Czech Republic) since 1995. Data of two growing cycles in the years 2007-2010 and 2011-2014 were evaluated.
