A Dynamic Stream Adjustment Scheme with PLR in LWA Network

open access: yes, 2019
LTE-WLAN Aggregation (LWA) can perform stream-splitting in eNB. In other words, partial packets are transmitted to one UE through AP, while partial packets are transmitted to the same UE through eNB.

Attenuation of PLR in MNU-injected mice was attributable to loss of photoreceptors.

open access: yes, 2016
A) NaIO3-induced photoreceptor loss led to severely attenuated PLR at all irradiances used here. At 7 days after NaIO3 injection, pupil constriction at the highest irradiance was ~35% (n = 6 mice).

A new branch of mammalian vitamin B6 metabolism: AKR1C‐mediated conversion of pyridoxal to pyridoxine and 4‐pyridoxolactone

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
Pyridoxal 5′‐phosphate (PLP) homeostasis relies on salvage enzymes, yet key metabolic branches remain undefined. We identify AKR1C isozymes as previously undescribed contributors that convert pyridoxal into pyridoxine or 4‐pyridoxolactone through reductase and dehydrogenase activities.

The association between inflammatory markers in routine blood counts at 1 year and attention‐deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD): A case–control study

open access: yesJournal of Child Psychology and Psychiatry, EarlyView.
Background Attention‐deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a chronic neurodevelopmental disorder marked by persistent patterns of inattention, disorganization, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. Increasing evidence implicates immune‐inflammatory processes in its etiology, with observed associations between ADHD and infectious diseases, allergic ...

Neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio as potential diagnostic markers for rebleeding in patients with esophagogastric variceal bleeding

open access: yesOpen Life Sciences
The aim of the present study is to explore the potential prediction value of neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) or peripheral blood platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) for rebleeding in patients with esophagogastric variceal bleeding (EVB).
